Mitten Gift Card Holders (With a Flip & a Twist!)

Hi Everyone,

Did you see the cute Mitten Gift Card Holders that Carolina posted for her Seasonal Saturday project this week?

When I saw them I thought they would be perfect for placecards for my Christmas table. That's where the flip & twist comes in! As they need to stand, I have the openings and attached parts flipped. I wanted to put scratch-off lottery tickets inside so I slightly enlarged Carolina's template to accomodate the size of the tickets. The penny is adhered with a removable glue dot.

The patterned papers are from a Me & My Big Ideas Christmas stack. I used SU Glorious Green and Real Read cut at 2 3/4 x 4 1/4 for the matting of the scratch tickets. Our names are printed on Whisper White using the Frosty font in Word. I hope you can see the little snowflakes that print among the letters of our names. The font is adorable. I used punched snowflakes and trees to fill in the extra white space on the three short names.

Thanks for stopping by today.

p.s. The sun must have hit Wolfgang's mitten when I took the picture--the paper looks a lot lighter than Joe's.

These are off the chart genius! What a wonderful idea for scratch off tickets. I give those too to a few people and this is a perfect use for giving them. And even adding a penny for scratching! Thanks so much for sharing! Exceptional idea!!!! Best, Curt

This is soooo great!!! As a family tradition we give each other lotto scratchers on New Year's Eve & this would be a fab way to present them to each person. Love the penny idea :) TFS!
