Snowglobe Gatefold Card

Happy Tuesday!
I had this card in my head for awhile and finally got the chance today to make it.
The Sweet Snowglobe (SU Holiday Mini) was stamped in black on Bashful Blue. I then used Old Olive and Real Red markers to stamp just the trees and house on white. They were cut and attached with pop dots. I used liquid applique on the snow areas. The snowglobe was then stamped again on Marina Mist, punched out, and attached over a Sweet Treat Cup. I put some MS Tinsel Glitter (looks like snowflakes) in the cup for shaking. The stamped snowflakes are from the retired Christmas Punch set and the ribbon is Marina Mist satin.
The sentiment on the inside is from the retired Best Yet set. I added rhinestones to some of the snowflakes.
This week's JUGS Challenge (#61) is to use a 3D holiday embellishment, so I'll be linking this card for the challenge.
Thanks for stopping by.

Fireside Christmas Shadowbox Card

Happy Saturday!

This is the card I made for Wolfgang for Christmas.

The card base is Cherry Cobbler. I stamped the fireplace image on Very Vanilla, then stamped it again, colored it, cut it out, and attached it with dimensionals. I love how the shadowbox cards stand on their own and I always think the inside image should be popped-up. The two strips of DSP are from the retired Dashing pack. I stamped the sentiment in Cherry Cobbler on Very Vanilla and sponged the edges. The holly leaves (MS punch) are punched and sponged in Old Olive. I added a few red rhinestones for a little holiday bling.

Happy crafting!

Happy Thanksgiving & a Gift Card Holder

Happy Thanksgiving & Happy Thursday!

I saw this cute present gift card holder here and had to make one. The base of mine is Bashful Blue. I also used Certainly Celery, So Saffron, and Delicate Dots DSP (retired). The sentiment is from the SU Three Little Words set.

Happy crafting!

A Pocket Full of Cocoa -- PCP 3d88

Happy Sunday!

This week's 3D Challenge at PCP is a 'pocket full of cocoa.' You can find the challenge and mug template here.

I decided to layer my mug with hot cocoa patterned paper. I have had it in my stash forever and do not know what company it is from. The cocoa mug image is a clear Snag 'Em stamp (I put Liquid Applique on the marshmallows). I attached the scalloped square (Sizzlet die) with pop-dots so I could slip a piece of chocolate in. What would a mug of hot cocoa be without some chocolate to go along with it?!?!? The two snowflakes (MS & Marvy punches) are also attached with pop-dots and I added a stick-on pearl. The ribbons are from M's (I bought a bunch of ribbon for practically nothing after last Christmas).

Happy crafting!

Fireside Christmas x 2

Happy Wednesday!

I have made two versions of the Christmas card I plan to send this year. I have used the new SU Fireside Christmas set which is available in the Holiday Mini. As soon as I saw this set I fell in love with it and knew I wanted it for this year's cards.

Version 1 is done horizontally:

The 'Merry Christmas' on the inside is from the SU Four the Holidays set:

Version 2 is basically the same card, but done vertically and w/o the sentiment on the front:

Here is the inside:

I used Cherry Cobbler and Old Olive card stock and ink. The images are stamped on Very Vanilla. The Old Olive card stock is embossed with the Petals a Plenty embossing folder and the ribbon is Old Olive Satin.
.
So, do you like the horizontal or vertical version better? Or, should I make half my cards horizontal and the other half vertical?
.
Thanks for stopping by.

Halloween Holz Leporello

Happy Friday!

I know, it is way past Halloween. Better to post late than never! I made this album for Raissa's birthday. The album is made with 6x6 pieces of thin wood (Holz is wood in German) covered with Creepy Crawly DSP (retired).

Here is the picture of the album folded closed:

Here is the album open showing one side:

And, here is the album open showing the flip side:

I used various MS punches and Sizzix dies. The headstones are templates that I have had for ages. The 1/4" ribbons are Basic Black, More Mustard, and Pumpkin Pie.
I like that this is free-standing and can then be folded flat for storage.
Thanks for stopping by. I hope you have a very 'crafty' weekend!

Candy Bars Galore

Happy Friday!

Raissa gave me this Fang-tastic chocolate bar slider for Halloween:

When I showed it to my mother, she asked if I could make a few for her. My mother bought adorable frankie, ghost, and witch chocolate bars packaged in boxes, rather than wrappers. So, I had to make my own measurements. There are six pictured, but I ended up making eight for her.

Until next time, happy crafting!

Get Well Wishes for Harry & Another Test Tube Holder

Happy Wednesday!

Harry received an adorable get well card from his cousins Petey, Dylan, & Flopsie. The inside of the card reads, 'anyone else feel like a martini?' They included a biscuit in the card. btw, Petey is actually Harry's cousin.

The two young girls and Amber, who live behind my mother, gave Harry this gift bag with cookies & a big bone. There was a fourth cookie, but I took the picture after Harry already had sampled one!

When my brother, Kevin, saw the first test tube holder I made, he asked if I would make one for him too. Of course I was more than happy to oblige!

Well, that's it for today. Harry goes back to the doctor tomorrow morning, so hopefully he'll be free of his 'lampshade' when he leaves the office.
