Christmas Tea

Happy Thursday!
I made this Christmas Tea Easel Box for my friend and SU demo, Raissa.
I originally got the idea here, but made my own measurements based on the size of the tea bags. The finished project measures 7 x 7 and has a drawer on each side that holds three to four tea bags.
The papers are Real Red & Old Olive card stock and Sending Love Specialty & Dashing DSP (both are retired). The stamp set is Flourishes' Christmas Tea (love that set!). Accessories used are Real Red Corduroy & Filligree brads, Old Olive & Ivory satin ribbon, MS Holly punch, and CTMH red rhinestones.
Thanks for stopping by.

A Treat House for the Twins

Happy Wednesday!

You may remember back on September I made a treat house for Harry to give Amber for Halloween. I decided to make a winter-themed treat house for the Twins for Christmas. If you aren't familiar yet with the Twins, you can read all about them on Ann's blog.

Here is the Muffy side of the treat house:

How precious is that sweet face?!?!? The wreath is a 3d sticker.

Here is one side:

The treat house is So Saffron and the Cherry Cobbler roof was embossed with a Sizzix texture plate (probably cannot be seen in the picture). The swag is from the Northern Hearts set and the stockings (Baja Breeze & Pink Pirouette) are from the retired Event Full set. I bought the bone eyelets on E-bay.

Here is the Brody side:

What a handsome young man!

And, here is the last side:

The snowflakes and snowdrift are Shimmery White card stock. I added rhinestones to the punched snowflakes. The tree (Old Olive) is a Sizzix die and I added some Glistening Snow Writer on it. The paw prints are from a Studio G clear set.
I'm sure the Twins liked the contents of the treat house more than the treat house itself!
I still haven't figured out how to link a PDF file to a posting. So, if you would like my treat box template, please E-mail me (lisawhs808 at aol dot com). Note, if you are embossing the roof the measurement should be 6" rather than 5 1/2". If you make your own treat house, I would love to see pictures of it.
Thanks for stopping by today.

PPA74 - Celebrity Sketch Challenge

Happy Tuesday!

I needed to make a sympathy card so I decided to use this week's PPA Celebrity Sketch Challenge.

The card base is Regal Rose, the embossed piece is Old Olive, and the scalloped piece is Pretty in Pink. I stamped the image with Staz-On Jet Black, colored the outer edge of the flower with a Melon Mambo marker, then went over the entire image with a Sakura Stardust marker. The image and sentiment are from the Three Little Words set and the ribbon is Pretty in Pink satin. ETA: The embossing folder used is SU Sizzix Finial Press.

That's it today for my quick post. Thanks for stopping by.

Stocking Gift Card Holders

Happy Thursday!

Here are the gift card holders I made for my family:

The card stock colors for the first three are Pink Pirouette, Marina Mist, & Wild Wasabi.

The colors for the above three are Cherry Cobbler, Wild Wasabi, & Baja Breeze. The snowflake paper is from a Colorbok stack. I printed the names & inside greetings in Word. Did you notice the little bone on Harry's stocking? Also, he is the only one that got the yummy SU satin ribbon. Is he special or what?!?!? Ann, thanks for the buttons!

Here is a view of the stocking open:

Finally, this is how I packaged them:

You can find the stocking pattern here.

Thanks for visiting & happy crafting!

Chocolate Slider Placecards

Happy Wednesday!

I don't know about you, but I cannot believe Christmas is a mere three days away! Where did the time go?!?!?

If you are saying to yourself, 'gee, those sliders look like they are different sizes,' you are right. And, no, I didn't make a mistake making them! Each one has a different candy bar in it. Wouldn't it be nice if everyone liked the same thing so I could measure once and make four?!?!? But, no, we each have different tastes so each one was made with different measurements.

I printed the names in Word and used the SU ornament punch and MS holly punch.

Happy crafting!

PPA73

Happy Monday!

This week's challenge at Pals Paper Arts is to use lace (or a substitute). As I did not have any narrow ivory lace, I used a (sort-of) scalloped edge ribbon. I recently saw a tutorial (but can't remember where!) for the project I'm showing you today and thought they would make cute package embellishments.

The Dasher DSP (retired) was cut at 3 1/2 x 12 and scored every 1/2 inch. This picture is of the first fan I made and I used sticky tape. As that was quite tedious, I used glue on the second one. Well, I guess I didn't let it dry long enough because a few of the folds didn't adhere. So, I was sticking pieces of sticky strip in anyway. Lesson learned, next time take the tedious route! The tassel was made with embroidery thread and a Jewelry Essentials charm.

Happy Birthday Richard

Happy Sunday!

Today is my brother Richard's birthday and here is the front of the card we sent him:

The card base is Cherry Cobbler and the patterned paper is Bazzill Recollections. Here is the inside of the card:

For the next card I used Marina Mist. The patterned paper on the 'wall' is retired SU and I don't recall the make of the striped paper. Wolfgang's son's birthday is on the 15th and this is the inside view of the card we sent him:

And lastly, is the card I made for Raissa's birthday. The card base is Lovely Lilac and the patterned paper is Flowers for You. Though I'm a bit late in posting (Raissa's birthday was in October), I did get the card to her on time! Here is the inside view:

That's it for today. Thanks for stopping by.
