PCP 3D-111 & Blog Candy Winner

Happy Thursday!

This week's 3D Challenge at PCP is to make paper roses and use them on a Spring project.

My niece will be attending her boyfriend's senior prom so I made this little set for them:

I purchased the template set a few years ago here. The dress is Real Red and the tuxedo is Basic Black. I used copy paper for the roses and sponged the edges with Real Red (though they look pink in the picture).

Now, on to the blog candy winner...

Congratulations, Karli!

Please E-mail me your address and I'll get your package sent out on Monday.

Thank you everyone for your lovely comments.

Until next time, happy crafting!

Bunny Pants

Happy Wednesday!

Today I am sharing what I made my mother for Easter.

Aren't the bunny pants and stand-up gift card holder adorable?!?!?

I purchased the tutorial for the bunny pants here and got the free tutorial for the stand-up gift card holder here. (Yes, I know, you don't see a gift card, only a tag. Sometimes I do things backward, like taking the picture before purchasing the gift card!)

Here's what is inside the bunny pants:

The inside and embossed envelope:

Each card packaged in a clear envelope:

And, let's not overlook the 'rear' view:

Supplies used: Almost Amethyst, Apricot Appeal, Bashful Blue, Certainly Celery, Pretty in Pink, & So Saffron card stock, Tea Party DSP, Chocolate Bunny, Silhouette Sentiments, Tags so Much, & Well Scripted stamp sets, PiP cordouroy brads, Tulip EF, bling, and MS bunny & grass punches.

Thanks for stopping by.

Note: Blog candy ends tonight.

PPA90 - Easter Quilt

Happy Easter!

This week there is a sketch challenge on the PPA blog.

I decided to make an Easter 'quilt.' The squares are cut at 1/2" x 1/2" and the card stock pieces (Baja Breeze, Regal Rose, & Very Vanilla) are embossed with the Finial Press EF, as is the Regal Rose layer. I used DSP from Nursery Suite Specialty & Subtles Pack. The card stock base & punched mat are So Saffron. A little Victoria Crochet Trim on the front and a Tulip embossed/brayered layer inside finish the card.

Thanks for stopping by and don't forget about my little blog candy.

Happy crafting!

Nugget Easter Baskets

Happy Friday!

I saw these Easter baskets and had to make them. I thought they would make cute place cards. Thank you Leanne for providing the instructions.

I used Almost Amethyst, Bashful Blue, Pretty in Pink, & So Saffron card stock for the baskets, retired DSP to wrap the nuggets, Well Scripted (retired) for the sentiment, Word using RGB values for the names & an MS bunny punch, and the bunny stamp on the back is from Sarasota Stamps (I've had it for years).

Note: when making the box for the baskets, I cut my card stock at 2 1/4 rather than 2 1/8. The nuggets (five) fit in perfectly with that measurement.

I have a little blog candy on this post.

Thanks for stopping by.

Marina Mist Hydrangea

Happy Wednesday,

Every time I have inked up this beautiful image from the Because I care set, I have used purples and pinks. As I absolutely love the new Marina Mist shade, I wanted to see how the hydrangea would look in blue. I think it looks gorgeous in this color.

I stamped the image once on Very Vanilla using Marina Mist and Old Olive. I then stamped just the flower, cut it out, sprayed it with Champagne Shimmer Mist, added a few pearls, and adhered it with dimensionals.

The layers were distressed and sponged a bit. I used Marina Mist to brayer the Tulip embossing folder (there's a layer inside too). A little Victoria Crochet Trim, a Vanilla Rosette (sponged with MM), and some pearls finished off the card.

Thanks for stopping by. Tomorrow I'll have a little blogerversary candy.

Inkspirations4U Project #6 x2

Happy Saturday! Project #6 during the last I4U session was an adorable box with a recessed cover:

Supplies used: Pretty in Pink card stock, Tea Party DSP (retired), and Afterthoughts & Bliss stamp sets.

When I was finished I thought it was so pretty that I decided to keep it for myself.

I then went on to make another one with a matching card:

Inside is a set of four tumbled tiles:

Supplies used: Lovely Lilac card stock & Flowers for You DSP (both retired) and Because I Care & Bliss stamp sets. The tiles were stamped with Staz-On and the backs are covered with self-adhesive felt in a shade of purple.

This gift set is for a friend's birthday in July.

Thanks for stopping by and happy crafting!

Sweet Sixteen Thank You Album

ETA: Does anyone know why Blogger keeps making a mess of my postings? I have edited this one three times and it still posts all bunched together! Happy Saturday! I made an album for my niece, Samantha, to give to my brother, Richard, as a thank you for her party last weekend. The tutorial for the album is from a past Inkspirations4U session. Here is the album closed: I used Bashful Blue card stock, Delicate Dots DSP (retired), and Marina Mist satin ribbon. The sentiment was created in Word with the Fiolex Girls font and RGB values for Marina Mist. First flap open: Samantha with her yummy birthday cake! Second flap open: Richard and his GF. Both flaps open: I cut the Cinderella carriage from the Princess paper that I used for Sam's exploding box. On the right is my niece, Amanda, with Richard. The center of the album: Yes, Samantha had three dresses for her party! The picture on the left is the dress she wore on the party bus to and from the party. The next picture is her dress for the cocktail hour. On the right is her gown for the party. And, a family picture on the far right: my mother, Richard, Amanda, Kevin, and myself. The top picture is a scanned mini version of the party invitation and the bottom picture is the table Samantha sat at with her boyfriend and VIP friends. The center is blank for Samantha to write her thank you to Richard. It was a wonderful party with 100 guests. Wish we could do it again this weekend! Thanks for stopping by! Lisa p.s: Part way through the party, someone stepped on Samantha's gown on the dance floor and it tore a bit so she changed back into her cocktail dress. Poor Kevin had a swollen face from an infected tooth, and was taking antibiotics and pain medication.

Sweet Sixteen Exploding Box

Happy Saturday! I sure am tired today. Last night was my niece's Sweet Sixteen Party. We had an awesome time! Today I am sharing the exploding box and matching card that I made for Samantha. Here is the front of the box: I used metallic papers in two shades of blue, silver, & white. Here is a top view: The pretty sparkly paper is from J's. I printed the witch's shoe template at 50%. Side view: Check out the bling: I used Word to create the words around the box. Here is the box open: On the left panel is the party invitation. I scanned the invitation and then printed it to size for the box. The blingy 16 is from M's. The 'coach' on the right panel is from the Princess paper. There is one pull-out which is a HB wish from Wolfgang & me. There is a Manhattan Flower dress on the back panel. How about that cake? I made it from punched circles and strips of the white metallic paper. The flowers are from punches and the swirls from a Sizzlet. Yes, it was a bit time-consuming to make that cake, but I was quite happy with the outcome. And, finally, here is the matching card: Again, I used Word for the sentiment and made a Manhattan Flower dress. I forgot to take a picture of the inside, but I printed our birthday wishes in Word and then embossed the white metallic paper with the same embossing folder as on the front. Thanks for sticking with me through this long post. I wish you a wonderful and crafty weekend.

ETA: I originally saw the idea for the little shoes on the box here.
