LNS 212 - Green

Happy Monday!

Welcome to Challenge 212 of the LateNightStamper's Design Team Sponsored Weekly Challenge.  This week we invite you to celebrate St. Patrick's Day by using green on your card, scrapbook page, and/or 3D project.

I originally saw this card design here, but I didn't follow the tutorial as I wanted to use one sheet of CS rather than attach the small flap to the card.  I cut my CS to 5 1/2 x 10 1/4 and scored at 3 and 7 1/4.  To create the flap, I cut the two corners off at 1 1/4 on each side.

Supplies used:  Always Artichoke, Calypso Coral, and Very Vanilla CS, Tea for Two DSP, Always Artichoke and Calypso Coral Ink, Pop-Up Posies Designer Kit, and Elements of Style and Vintage Verses Stamp Sets.

Please click here to see the other Design Team Members samples.  I hope you get a chance to play along in our 'Green' challenge.  You have a full week to link your project.

IBS February Blog Hop - Bows

Happy Friday!

Today's card is for the IBS February Blog Hop Challenge - Bows.  Joanna has a great video on how to create four different bows.  I made the triple loop one which is featured last in the video.

I definitely recommend watching the video.  I am severely bow-challenged and cannot believe I made this gorgeous triple-loop bow.

As I do not have a wooden block with dowels (though Wolfgang said he will make me one) like Joanna used in the video, I searched for something in the house that I could substitute.  You will not believe what I used:

Yes, the knife block from my kitchen!  I removed four of the knives and used the two that you see in the picture.  Easy Peasy--just move the knives to create different sized bows.  Wolfgang will probably never make the bow maker now!

Some details:  My card was inspired by this card, though I did not follow the tutorial for it.  I created the fan with a single strip of DSP cut at 3 1/4 x 12 and scored every 1/2 inch.  The card is a standard 4 1/4 x 5 1/2.

Supplies used:  Concord Crush and Pink Pirouette CS and Ink, Lap of Luxury and Patterns Love DSP, SB HC Timeless Amour Dies, EKSuccess Corner Punch, MS Border Punch, IBS Shabby Pink Flower, May Arts Pink Silk Ribbon, ZVA Pearls, and IBS Just Because Stamp Set.

Thanks for stopping by!

LNS 211 - Happy Birthday

Happy Monday!

Welcome to this week's LateNightStamper's Challenge, which is to create a birthday card.

Here are some of the 'rules' for participating in the weekly LNS Challenges:

The challenges change weekly on Mondays and you have a full week to play along. The Design Team for the LNS Yahoo! group sponsors the challenges and they do a great job inspiring the members. If you are not a member, you are certainly welcome to join the group -- click here -- we are a bunch of stampers who love to use SU only products. If you don't want to join and just want to play along, that is OK too! We just ask that your samples remain at least 90% SU. They do not have to be current SU products. You may use your older stuff too!

To sum up:

Anyone can play along.

All samples must be at least 90% SU.

You have a full week to play along and add your sample to the linky tool.

You must link only to the post that has your challenge, not to the Home Page of your blog. Your samples will be deleted if they do not link directly to the project!

Please add only new samples--do not link to samples from weeks ago. This is a challenge to get you stamping more, not sharing more!

Have fun and be sure to check out the other players too!

Supplies used:  Real Red CS, DSP, and Ink, Circle and Petite Curly Label Punches, Baker's Twine, Rhinestone, and Ciao, Baby!, Happy Hour, and Pretty Petites Stamp Sets.

Thanks for stopping by.  You have until Mon., Feb. 25 at 12:01 AM EST to play along and link your Happy Birthday sample. I look forward to seeing what you create.

LNS 210 - Sale-a-brating!

Happy Monday,

Today is my second post as a four-month Guest Design Team Member for the LateNiteStamper's Weekly Challenge Blog.  This week's challenge is to use at least one Sale-a-bration product.

Here's my card:

Does SU have a new corner punch?  No, I used the Petite Curly Label Punch for those fun corners.  Who said Christmas DSP is only for Christmas?  Polka Dots are year-round fun.  How to choose one SAB product to use?  I don't know--I used three!

Here are some of the 'rules' for participating in the weekly LNS Challenges:

The challenges change weekly on Mondays and you have a full week to play along. The Design Team for the LNS Yahoo! group sponsors the challenges and they do a great job inspiring the members. SAB Supplies used:  Petite Curly Label Punch, and Feeling Sentimental and Pretty Petites Stamp Sets.

Other SU supplies used:  Cherry Cobbler and Very Vanilla CS, Be of Good Cheer DSP, Cherry Cobbler Ink, Curly Label, Round, and Scalloped Round Punches, and Ciao, Baby! Stamp Set.

Thanks for stopping by. Remember, you have until Mon., Feb. 18 at 12:01 AM EST to link your Sale-a-brating! sample. I look forward to seeing what you create.

Creations by AR ''Love is in the Air Customer Blog Hop

Happy Friday!

Welcome to the Creations by AR 'Love is in the Air' Customer Blog Hop.  I am your first stop and I have six more crafty friends for you to visit that will surely inspire you with their Creations by AR Valentine-themed projects.

For my project today I used the fun Party Train template.

A little tulle and glittery hearts to make the train 'steamy' and some lace to give it a romantic look.  Red heart brads attach the cars together.

I had to add '14' to the front for Valentine's Day.

The 'Love Train' on the back was created in Word.

The Box Cars are delivering chocolates to someone special!  There are five wrapped Valentine York Peppermint Patties (more will fit if placed upright) in the first car and 14 Hershey Kisses (seemed like the appropriate amount) in a baggie in the second car.

Isn't the train cute all decked out for Valentine's Day?  The Party Train template is easy to assemble and has so many creative possibilities (think different holidays).  Adela's templates come in PDF and cut file formats.  She also provides easy-to-follow, step-by-step instructions with pictures.  If you have not yet tried any of Adela's templates, now is the time to give one (or more) a try.  In addition to there being two freebies offered on the site, some templates are currently on sale.  Plus, there will be a new release tomorrow (Sat., Feb. 9).

I hand-cut my templates for years and just got a Portrait (Cameo's baby sister) for Christmas.  All I can say is, 'Why did I wait so long to get a cutting machine?'

What would a Blog Hop be without a prize?  One random commenter will be chosen to win a template from the new release.  Comments will close at  midnight (EST) on Sunday, Feb. 10.  The winner will be announced on Mon., Feb. 11, here on my blog and on the Creations by AR Facebook Page.  Speaking of the CbyAR FB Page, if you haven't already done so, you may want to 'Like' the page so you can be kept up-to-date on all the latest happenings.

Following is the Blog Hop order:

Lisa Eisner (that's me!)
Diana Auberle
Mary Roberson
Raissa Spatola
Lynn Clifford
Gigi Lorenc
Jennyfer Leung

I hope you enjoyed my Valentine-themed Party Train.  Please hop along and visit Diana next.  Don't forget to leave some love along the way.  We enjoy your comments and you just may win a template!

Supplies used:  Chocolate Chip, Real Red, and Very Vanilla CS, Red Glitter Paper, Sending Love Specialty DSP, and Heart, Oval, and Round Punches.

Happy hopping!

LNS 209 - Feeling Blue

Happy Monday!

Well, I am not feeling blue at all!  Rather, I am in a celebrating mood.  Why, you ask?  Because...I was invited to be a four-month Guest Designer on the LateNightStamper's Design Team Sponsored Weekly Challenge Blog!  Today is my first post as a Guest Design Team Member.

This week's challenge, Challenge 209, is Feeling Blue--create a card or project with blue as your main color.

As I am celebrating, I thought this would be an appropriate card:

Here are some of the 'rules' for participating in the weekly LNS Challenges:

The challenges change weekly on Mondays and you have a full week to play along.  The Design Team for the LNS Yahoo! group sponsors the challenges and they do a great job inspiring the members.  If you are not a member, you are certainly welcome to join the group -- click here -- we are a bunch of stampers who love to use SU only products.  If you don't want to join and just want to play along, that is OK too!  We just ask that your samples remain at least 90% SU.  They do not have to be current SU products.  You may use your older stuff too!

Supplies used:  Marina Mist and Very Vanilla CS, Marina Mist Ink, Victoria Crochet Trim, Basic Pearl, Square Lattice EF (I brayered the ink directly on the EF folder), and Feeling Sentimental Stamp Set.
