IBS June Blog Hop - Vintage Theme

Happy Monday!

Today's card is for the IBS June Blog Hop.  This month's theme is Vintage.

I have had the SB Bird Sanctuary Dies since Christmastime (thank you to my brother Kevin!) and just used them for the first time.  I know, shame on me!  The top-right corner embellishment is the negative from the smaller bird cage die that is also in the set.

This will be Wolfgang's birthday card.  Once my IBS Big Notes in French II stamp set arrives, I will finish the inside of the card.

Supplies used:  Brushed Gold, Early Espresso, and Very Vanilla CS, Misc. PP, CTMH Chocolate Distress and Versafine Vintage Sepia Inks, Beautiful Wings Embosslit, J's $1 Bin Crochet Trim, IBS Flower, Recollections Pearls, and IBS Big Notes in French Stamp Set.

Thanks for stopping by!

IBS WHW #106 - Creating Candles

Happy Sunday!

Today I have a candle I made for this week's IBS WHW tutorial.  I have previously made candles using photos, but this is my first one using stamped images.

What I have learned:

1. I should have stamped the border and Iris word in Wisteria Wonder rather than Almost Amethyst.  They looked good on the tissue paper, but are too light on the candle.

2. I should have 'melted' the images separately.  It was difficult to 'hold' both pieces of tissue paper at once with the wax paper.  I messed up the border and candle along the top.

Supplies used:  Almost Amethyst CS, Almost Amethyst and Wisteria Wonder, and Versafine Onyx Black Inks, Almost Amethyst, Certainly Celery, Crushed Curry, Lucky Limeade, So Saffron, and Wisteria Wonder Markers, and IBS Beautiful Iris and Delicate Doilies II Stamp Sets.

Cloud 9 Blog Hop & PP #150

Happy Tuesday!

Today I have a shadow box card for the Cloud 9 Blog Hop (Anything Goes) and The Paper Players Challenge #150 (Bring on the Bling!).

Yes, the bling is there (top of lighthouse).  What do you think of my hand-drawn and hand-cut seagulls?  Yes, I also fussy-cut all of the stamped images!  What would we do without Paper Snips?!?!?

Supplies used:  AC Mediterranean and Stargaze CS, CTMH Tulip, SU Night of Navy, and Versafine Onyx Black and Vintage Sepia Inks, SU Rhinestone, Twine, and SU Teeny Tiny Wishes and WPlus9 Guiding Light Stamp Sets.

LNS 225 - Party Time!

Happy Monday!

The theme for the new LNS Challenge is Party Time!  Create anything with a party theme--Invitation, Thank You Card, Banner, Cake Topper, and Scrapbook L/O are a few ideas.

I chose to make Party Favors.  Yes, more than one favor!  I wanted to show a few different ideas on ways to package Hershey Nuggets to give as favors.

Here is the picture of the three together:

I used my favorite DSP, Polka Dot Parade, and sentiment stamp set, Teeny Tiny Wishes, for all three.

Nugget 'Tote', directions, and supplies:

The DSP was cut at 1 1/2 x 6, and scored at 1, 3 3/8, and 5 3/4.  Adhere the 1/4 score to the bottom, punch an opening in the top, decorate, and add a Nugget.  I 'shortened' the Word Window and Modern Label Punches.

Supplies:  Rich Razzleberry and White CS, Polka Dot Parade DSP, Rich Razzleberry Ink and Ribbon, and Pearls.

Graduation Cap, directions, and supplies:

The 'mortarboard' was cut a 1 3/4 x 1 3/4.  The wrapper for the Nugget measures 1 x 3.

Supplies:  Marina Mist CS and Ink, Baker's Twine, and Silver Brad.

Slider Box, directions, and supplies:

This box holds three nuggets.  The CS was cut at 2 5/8 x 4 1/8, and scored at 9/16 all around.  The DSP was cut at 3 1/16 x 4 3/4, scored at 1, 1 11/16, 3 3/16, and 3 11/16.

Supplies:  Rich Razzleberry CS and Ink, Pearl, and Mixed Bunch Stamp Set and coordinating punch.

Now, click on over to see the party inspiration posted by the rest of the DT members.  Reminder, we are on a Summer schedule, so you have two weeks to participate in each challenge.  I look forward to seeing your Party Time project.

Happy Tuesday!

Today's card is for the IBS WHW #103 tutorial, which is to create new shapes with your Nesties.

The images were stamped and cut with the dies, then I turned the dies around and cut again.

LNS 224 - Father's Day

Happy Monday!

Today I have a Father's Day card/gift card holder for this week's LNS Challenge, which is a Father's Day/Masculine theme.  I have a hard time creating masculine cards. Luckily, I saw my mother's reward card for her local hardware store and a light bulb went on!

Look at the picture of her cute reward card:

Here is what it inspired:

And, the inside:

A gift card can easily be adhered to the bottom flap.

The Real Red CS was cut at 5 1/2 x 8 and scored at 1 1/4 and 4 3/4.

Supplies used:  Basic Black, Brushed Silver, Real Red, and White CS, Basic Black and Real Red Ink, Modern Label, Round, Scalloped Round, and Word Window Punches, and A Round Array and Teeny Tiny Wishes Stamp Sets.

We are currently on a Summer schedule for the LNS Challenges, so you have two weeks to create and link your Father's Day/Masculine themed card.

Don't forget to visit the LNS Challenge Blog to see the rest of the DT's inspiring cards.
