Cute Card Thursday Challenge 310 - Spring Theme

Happy Thursday!

Inspired by Stamping is sponsoring this week's Cute Card Thursday Challenge, which is a Spring Theme.

Here is my DT card:

Leah has a great WHW Tutorial on the IBS Blog on creating a frame with dies.

To create this fancy fold card, I started with a standard A2 card (5 1/2 x 8 1/2, scored at 4 1/4) and added the right panel/flap (5 1/2 x 4 3/4, scored at 1/2).  I die cut the curved edge on the left flap and mat on the right flap.  A mini velcro dot holds the card closed.

I watercolored the gorgeous Iris (my favorite flower) image from the Beautiful Iris (one of my favorite IBS sets) stamp set.  The sentiment is from the same set. I used the Fancy Label Dies 2 (largest and second largest) for the frame/windows.

Now that you have seen my card, please hop on over to the Cute Card Thursday Challenge Blog for more Spring-Themed inspiration and to get all the details on participating in this week's challenge.

Thanks for stopping by!

Die Cut Crazy February Sketch Challenge

Happy Wednesday!

Today I have a card that I created for this month's Die Cut Crazy Challenge.

Here is the sketch:

My take on it:

The inside:

The inspiration for this card came from a photo I took in Paris a few years ago:

Card details:

After stamping and embossing the En Francais background stamp, sponge around the edges and into the center.  The images and sentiment were stamped and die cut, then sponged while still inside the dies.

Thanks for stopping by!

ETA:  I had a question regarding where to purchase the Stamp-It Australia stamps.  I ordered them from Crafter's Companion.

IBS Celebrate Birthday Card

Happy Tuesday!

Today I am posting on the Inspired by Stamping Blog.  I have a fancy birthday card to share:

My card base was layered with Vintage Floral Paper.  Dies aren’t just for sentiments and images--I used the Fancy Label Dies 1 to cut the top layered pieces and put half of a doily under them.

The Celebrate sentiment is from the Just Because stamp set and the pretty frame is from the Fancy Labels 2 stamp set.  After die cutting the sentiment with the middle die from the Fancy Label Dies 2 set, I sponged pink ink before removing the die.  That gives a nice, soft glow.

The Birthday Wishes ticket was cut with the Vintage Tickets Silhouette cut file and then stamped with the Birthday Wishes ticket from the Vintage Tickets stamp set.  A bit of baker’s twine and a small flower finished it off.

Let's not forget the inside:

The strip across the top is what was cut off from the paper for the front of the card.

I hope today’s card inspired you to use your dies in different ways.

Please visit the Inspired by Stamping Blog to see what Kendra is sharing along with me today.  Don't forget to leave a comment.  Of course we enjoy your comments, but Joanna is also giving away Blog Candy this week to one lucky person.

Thanks for stopping by!  You may also like to stop by the Inspired by Stamping Store--the dies I used on today's card are on sale this month and all new items from the January release are 20% off!

For You in Pink

Happy Thursday!

Today I have a card to share using Inspired by Stamping dies, paper, and stamps:

To make this fancy-fold card, start with a piece of CS cut at 5 1/2 x 8 3/4.  Place the second smallest IBS Fancy Label 1 Die in the middle on one end of the CS and make a little pencil mark on each side of the die.  Cut the CS down about 7/8" inside each pencil mark, and cut across on both sides so there is a middle tab. Place the die on the tab and run it through your die cutting machine so that only the top of the die cuts.  Score on the tab and across at 4 1/4.  Repeat to make the tab on the other end.  Add eyelets on the tabs.

I decorated the front of the card with paper from the new IBS Vintage Floral Paper Pad and used a sentiment from the Beautiful Iris stamp set.

Let's not forget the inside:

The smaller image from the new Vintage Roses stamp set was stamped on the inside panels. I like how they 'peek out' when the card is closed.

I am entering this card in the following challenges:

House of Cards February Challenge #1 - Color and/or Photo Inspiration + Cute or Shabby

Mod Squad Challenge Blog - Thinking of Spring

"More Than One Score" Score-Pal Challenge #1 - Flowers

Simon Says Stamp Challenge - We Love Stamps!

The Card Concept Challenge #3 - use monochromatic pink (I would say this card is in the Classy & Elegant category)

Thanks for stopping by!

Creations by AR February Release and Blog Hop

Happy Tuesday!

Welcome to the Creations by AR February Release and Blog Hop.  This month's release is all about Baby Love, and there are three new templates!  I used two of the new templates for today's release post and blog hop:

First up is the Rockin' Cradle:

How absolutely adorable is that little cradle?!?!?  It was super easy to assemble. The template comes with two versions, the one I used with the sidebars and hearts and a solid-sided one (easier for those who hand-cut their templates).

I used felt to make the baby blanket and pillow.  The baby blanket, hearts, pillow, and teddy bear were cut with dies.  I hand-stitched the ribbon along the top of the blanket.  The pillow was machine sewn and stuffed with a cotton ball. I used glue to adhere the teddy bear and hearts.

Next up is the Rockin' Horse Card:

This card is so, so cute!  I really like the added texture to the mane and tail.

The third template being released today is the Dress Up Baby Bag, which comes with 'accessories' for either a boy or a girl outfit.  Here's a peek:

You can see samples in the Creations by AR Shop (and perhaps also as you hop along today!).

All three of today's new templates come in PDF, Silhouette, and SVG formats. They are all available for purchase today.  The templates may be purchased individually, and there is a special baby bundle price for all three ($12, which is a $3 savings if purchased separately).

How about a chance to win one of today's new templates?!?!?  Please visit and comment on each of the DT blogs and on the Creations by AR Facebook Page. Comments will be accepted until Noon Eastern Time on Friday, February 14. A randomly drawn winner will be announced on Adela's Blog and Facebook Page on Saturday, February 15.  The lucky winner will have her/his choice of new template.

LNS 242 - Wet or Dry Embossing

Happy Monday!

It's time for a new LNS Challenge.  This week we would like you to use wet or dry embossing.

I couldn't decided which to use, so I did both on my card:

The butterflies were embossed and watercolored.  The fun part of the Flower Garden Embossing Folder is that you can use the embossed or debossed side (hope you can see it on the right side of the card).

Now it is time to hop on over to the LNS Challenge Blog and see what the rest of the DT created.

Our challenges run for two weeks, so you have plenty of time to decide how and what you want to emboss.  Don't forget to link your card, L/O, or 3D project to the linky on the LNS Challenge Blog by Sunday, February, 23.  We look forward to see what you create.

Thanks for stopping by!

IBS Valentine's Day Tea for Two

Happy Thursday!

I am excited to make my first IBS DT post.  As I am a big tea drinker, I love to make and give tea-related gifts.  Today I am sharing a Valentine's Day Tea for Two project:

The top of the heart-shaped box (empty chocolate box) was covered with paper from the new Vintage Floral paper pad. The sentiment, stamped on paper from that pack, is from the Just Because stamp set.  I sponged the edges of the box and sentiment.

I ran ribbon through the Vintage Crochet Trim and used hot glue to adhere it around the sides of the box.

What says romance like chocolates and monogrammed heart-shaped tea bags!  The chocolates were wrapped with Vintage Floral Paper.  I fussy-cut the bird and butterfly, and added them to the chocolates with dimensionals.  After cutting, sewing, and filling the tea bags, I personalized the tea bag tags with the Fancy Alphabet stamp set.

I hope you are inspired by today's project.

Please visit the IBS Blog to see what Kylie is sharing along with me today.  Don't forget to leave some love while you are there!  We enjoy your comments, plus there is blog candy!

Creations by AR Lovely 'Tea for Two' Cart

Happy Wednesday!

I finally made the second Creations by AR Lovely Cart that I promised on last month's release day!

I took tea bags out of their original wrappers and made pretty DSP wrappers. I also added two decorated Hershey Nuggets (kind of hard to see in the picture--they are in front of the tea bags).

I'll be linking my Lovely 'Tea for Two' Cart to the Paper Players #181 Challenge. The Theme Challenge this week is 'Sweet Treats' -- create a Valentine card or 3D project with a food or treat theme.  I didn't use red or hearts, but it is still a Valentine gift!

Thanks for stopping by!

Supplies used:  Concord Crush and Pink Pirouette CS, Lap of Luxury and Patterns Love DSP, Concord Crush Ink, MS Border Punch, SU Boho Blossoms Punch, Beautiful Wings Embosslit, Pearls, and Sweet 'n Sassy Tea Time Cocoa Stamp Set.
