Welcome to Day 3 of Release Week! For my Inspired by Stamping post today, I am showcasing the new Flower of the Month: Easter Lily stamp set. This stamp set includes two images and five sentiments.
I have created a tri-shutter Easter card:
I started by using the FOTM: Easter Lily cut file and Butterflies cut file to cut all the elements I needed for my card. The pretty lily image, this is the larger of the two images in the FOTM: Easter Lily stamp set, was colored with alcohol markers. As I wanted the butterflies, from the Butterflies stamp set which released on Monday, to have a soft look, I used a blender pen and dye inks to color them.
Here is the card opened:
To make a tri-shutter card you start with a 5½ x 12 piece of card stock. With the 5½ edge along the top of your paper trimmer, place the left edge at the 1¾ mark and cut down from 2 inches to 10 inches. Flip your paper over and repeat on the other side. Turn your paper to the 12 inch edge and score at 2, 4, 8, and 10. Note, at 2 and 10, don’t score the entire length of your paper, just on the outer sides of the cut lines.
Here is a close-up of the inner elements:
I can see myself using this beautiful sentiment for wedding and anniversary cards too.
