Watermelon Curvy Keepsake

Happy Monday!

Today I have an adorable treat holder and matching 3x3 card using two of the new 2015-2017 In-Colors, Cucumber Crush and Watermelon Wonder. I originally saw the idea for the watermelon treat holder here, but changed mine up a bit.

Using the Curvy Keepsake Box Thinlit, I cut two of the longer sides in Cucumber Crush and two of the shorter sides in Watermelon Wonder, then glued all four pieces together. The seeds are small hearts cut in half.

To create the watermelon slices, I glued three circles together and then cut it in fours. The tiny seeds are from the heart strip in the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits.

The coordinating card is 3x3 and the fun sentiment is from a long-retired set, Fruity Phrases (one of those sets I never wanted to part with).

Gorgeous Grunge (such a versatile set) was inked up for the skin.

I hope you like my little creation today and try one yourself. The versatility of the Curvy Keepsake Box Thinlits never ceases to amaze me.

I'll be giving my treat holder and card to Wolfgang. I think the watermelon treat holder would make fun barbecue favors...just saying in case you are attending or hosting a barbecue.

Thanks for stopping by!

Supplies used:  Basic Black, Cucumber Crush, Watermelon Wonder, and Whisper White CS, Cucumber Crush and Watermelon Wonder Ink, Watermelon Wonder Dotted Lace Trim, Whisper White Baker's Twine, Curvy Keepsake Box and Mini Treat Bag Thinlits, Circles Framelits, and Fruity Phrases (retired) and Gorgeous Grunge Stamp Sets.

hallo, liebe Lisa

Regina

Watermelon is one of my fave fruits so this caught my eye right away! This is so cute & clever :) i luv the way you've used a heart for the seeds & the grunge stamp couldn't be more perfect for the rind. The cleverness of you!
