Blackberry Bliss Thank You

Happy Thursday!

Today I have a thank you card using the Bright and Beautiful stamp set.

The largest star was embossed in gold on Blackberry Bliss, the medium star was stamped in Blackberry Bliss on Very Vanilla, and the center star was die-cut with glimmer paper.  The gold ribbon is not only decorative, it covers the 'seam' between the embossed area and the lower section which I chose not to emboss as I thought the sentiment would stand out more.

The Bright and Beautiful stamp set and the Lucky Stars embossing folder carried over from the Holiday Catalog to the Occasions Catalog!

Here is the inside and coordinating envelope:

I left plenty of room to write a nice note to thank my brother for this beautiful mask he bought for me when he was in New Orleans:

Unfortunately, I couldn't photograph it well. It is gorgeous IRL! Love the purple and gold!

I am entering this card in the following challenges:

Crafter's Companion February Challenge:  Add Some Sparkle

Simon Says Anything Goes Challenge

Thanks for stopping by!

Supplies used:  Blackberry Bliss and Very Vanilla CS, Champagne Glimmer Paper, Blackberry Bliss and Versamark Inks, Gold Embossing Powder, Gold Satin Ribbon, Lucky Stars EF, Star Framelits, Modern Label and Word Window Punches, and Bright and Beautiful and Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp sets.

IBS Birthday Boy

Happy Thursday!

Today, on the Inspired by Stamping Blog, we are featuring cards for kids. I decided to challenge myself by making a boy card. I figured all little boys must like frogs, so I started with the Flower of the Month: Water Lily stamp set and created a spinner card:

I stamped the hello and birthday boy sentiments, from the Big Hello stamp set (free with a $50 purchase!), directly on the patterned paper.

I cut a ¼ x 4¼ opening for the slider. The birthday wishes and just for you, from the Teeny Tiny Greetings stamp set, were stamped as a background in the slider opening.

The frog, from the FOTM: Water Lily stamp set, was stamped on green card stock, accented with a green marker, and fussy cut. I usually use pennies for the spinner, but I tried something different with this card and used two 3/8 card stock circles (one 3/8 circle inside the opening with a pop dot on top, add the second 3/8 circle on the outside of the opening, add another pop dot and then the frog). The card front was adhered to the card base with dimensionals.

As the two sentiments were still on my block, I carried them to the inside as well with another fussy-cut frog.

Do you think this is a card a little boy would like? If you haven’t tried a spinner card yet, please give it a try. They are fun and work with many different images.

Vintage Butterfly Basics

Happy Wednesday!

I paired the floral image from Butterfly Basics with the pretty Something Lacy background stamp to create a vintage card.

I started by stamping the Something Lacy background stamp on Sahara Sand CS with Versamark and embossed with White EP. The floral image was stamped on Whisper White using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored with Blendabilities. Before assembling the card on the Sahara Sand card base, the edges of the background and floral layers were distressed and sponged. Some Sahara Sand Lace Trim and Pearls finish the card.

The inside:

A portion of the Something Lacy background was inked in Sahara Sand and a piece of Sahara Sand Lace Trim was added as a border.

I will be entering this card in the Scrapping4fun Challenge #35 - Vintage.

Thanks for stopping by!

Supplies used:  Sahara Sand and Whisper White CS, Sahara Sand, Memento Tuxedo Black, and Versamark Inks, Blendabilities, White Embossing Powder, Sahara Sand Lace Trim, Basic Pearls, and Butterfly Basics Stamp Set and Something Lacey Background Stamp.

IBSIC 91 - Sketch

Happy Sunday!

Welcome to my Inspired by Stamping Sunday Designer Feature

My card today is based on the Sketch of IBSIC 91. On the 15th of each month, a new IBSIC is posted. You may follow the color, sketch, and/or theme. One randomly chosen participant will receive a $30 GC to the Inspired by Stamping Store!

Here are the inspirations for IBSIC 91:

My card based on the sketch using the Hummingbirds and Big Hello stamp sets:

I stamped and colored the Fuchsia image from the Hummingbirds stamp set, then die-cut it and lightly sponged it. The Hello, from the Big Hello stamp set, was stamped directly onto the patterned paper panel. The hummingbird was stamped and colored, then fussy-cut and adhered with dimensionals.

I kept the inside plain as I do not know yet for what occasion I will use this card:

IBS Valentine Gift Packaging

Happy Friday the 13th!

Today, on the Inspired by Stamping Blog, I am excited to be sharing Valentine's Day gift packaging ideas. I so enjoy wrapping treats to give as little gifts.

I have three different ideas to share with you using versatile Inspired by Stamping stamp sets and dies.

First up are these cute mini chocolate bar (I used Kit Kats) holders:

The sentiments were stamped with two greetings from the Petite Banners stamp set and die cut with the large banner die from the Fancy Labels 3 Dies.

To make this treat holder, you will need a piece of card stock cut 9¾ x 2¾, scored at 2, 2 3/8, 5 7/8, and 6¼. Punch or die-cut an opening on the short end (you will see what I mean in the next picture that shows the treat holder open). The patterned paper measured 2½ x 3¼. The belly band is 1 x 7, scored at 2 1/8, 2½, 5 3/8, and 5¾.

Here are the Kit Kat holders open:

The inside sentiments are from the Teeny Tiny Greetings stamp set and were die-cut with the small banner from the Fancy Labels 3 Dies.

When assembling the holders, use adhesive along the top of the punch/die cut opening. Note, slide chocolate in opening first, then adhere closed.

To finish off the little Valentine treats, I packaged them in cello bags:

I used the Fancy Alphabet stamp set to monogram the heart tags. An alphabet set is a basic necessity in your stamp collection!

Next I packaged some Hershey Nuggets in a cello bag:

The adorable tags are from the Vintage Tickets stamp set. There is a coordinating cut file available!

Lastly, I wrapped double packs of Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups (though you could use this idea with most any chocolate bars):

For these treats, I used the label image from the Fancy Labels 3 stamp set and die cut them with the coordinating die from the Fancy Labels 3 dies. The sentiments are from the Teeny Tiny Greetings stamp set and, again, I monogrammed these treats using the Fancy Alphabet stamp set.

After punching an opening in each end of the die-cut label, I ran satin ribbon and simply tied the tag to the chocolate.

Thanks for sticking with me through my trio of Valentine gift packaging. I hope you have some new ideas to try.
