Happy Scenes Shaker Gift Tag/Ornament and Side-Step Card

Happy Monday!

Today I have two fun Shaker Gift Tags/Ornaments and a Side-Step Card using the Happy Scenes Stamp Set.

Let's first take a look at the Shaker Gift Tags/Ornaments:

I used the Circle Framelits to create the snow globe and the window box die from the Heath & Home Thinlits for the base. The Petite Petals punch was used for the poinsettia. There is a tutorial on SCS for creating Die Cut Shakers. I did follow the tutorial, through I changed it up a bit with different supplies.

To avoid having the sequins stick, I rubbed corn starch along the inside edges.

Here is the Side-Step Card using Cucumber Crush:

You can see the similar Fall-themed version I made for my October Thank You Cards by clicking here.

Here is the back view of the card:

Thank you Diana for loaning your Happy Scenes Stamp Set to me so I had German sentiments to use!

Thanks for stopping by!

Supplies used:  Basic Black, Cucumber Crush, Real Red, and Whisper White CS, Cucumber Crush DSP, Memento Tuxedo Black Ink, Basic Rhinestones, Doilies, Petite Petals Punch, Circles Framelits, Health & Home Thinlits, and Happy Scenes Stamp Set

IBSIC 101

Happy Tuesday!

Welcome to my Inspired by Stamping post. Today is our group post featuring IBSIC 101!

On the 15th of each month, a new IBSIC is posted. You may follow the Color, Sketch, and/or Theme. One randomly chosen participant will receive a $25 gift card to the Inspired by Stamping Store!

Here are the inspirations for IBSIC 101:

My inspiration came from the colors:

I started by using the Diamond Cover Plate Cut File as a stencil and sponged varying shades of pink ink. The Eiffel Tower and sentiment, both from the Paris Love stamp set, were stamped in grey and embossed with clear embossing powder.

Here is the inside:

I carried a row of stenciling to the inside and added a sentiment from the Spring Bouquet stamp set.

The link to enter IBSIC 101 is open until 10:00 AM ET on January 13 (11:59 PM Brisbane time on January 14). Inspired by Stamping products are not required to enter, but if you do use them your entry will be counted twice! I look forward to see what inspires you.

Please visit the Inspired by Stamping Blog to see the full list of designers featuring IBSIC 101 cards today.

IBS Easy Christmas Cards

Happy Monday!

For my Inspired by Stamping post today, I have some easy-to-produce Christmas Cards using the Festive Greetings stamp set.

As I was making cards to donate, I wanted an easy design to mass produce. This is what I came up with:

Using the circle die from Fancy Label Dies 3, I die-cut through the patterned paper and card stock layer. I then stamped the mitten image, from Festive Greetings through the opening.

Here’s a look at the inside:

I ‘built the sentiment’ on my stamping block so it was really easy to stamp on multiple cards. A baker’s twine bow and rhinestones embellish the cute mitten image.

Waste not, want not:

As I was using a 6x6 patterned paper pack, I had left over strips of paper after completing the mitten window cards. Well, I couldn’t let those strips go to waste! I added White Fabric Tape along the strip of patterned paper to ‘dress it up.’ Of course, I couldn’t let those die-cut circles go to waste either! Joy, also from the Festive Greetings stamp set, was stamped, punched, and popped-up on the die-cut circles!

I used the same sentiment on the inside of these cards (it was already on the block and these cards were all about ease!):

Thanks for stopping by!

IBS Fun Christmas Tree

Happy Wednesday!

For my Inspired by Stamping post today, I am sharing a fun idea using the Festive Greetings stamp set.

So, let’s get right to my card:

How about that – a light bulb Christmas tree! I started by stamping the bow first and worked my way down, alternating with green and red bulbs, and finishing with the oh-so-appropriate sentiment.

Here’s a look at the inside:

I really like the fancy, bold font of the large words in the Festive Greetings stamp set. Merry Christmas looks especially pretty and festive in red.

I hope you like my fun Christmas tree card.

Thanks for stopping by!
