Picture Perfect Starfish Meets Gorgeous Grunge

Happy Friday!

Today I have a card with the starfish from Picture Perfect. I really like the multi step images in this set and am happy that it will carry over to the new Annual Catalog in June!

Here's my card:

I stamped the starfish in Crumb Cake and Soft Suede. The speckles were stamped in Crumb Cake and Bermuda Bay, both stamped off first.

Take a look at the inside:

Love those starfish!

IBS Release Week Day Four - Plumerias

Happy Thursday!

Welcome to Day Four of Release Week at Inspired by Stamping! Today's stamp set is Plumerias, a set of nine images and sentiments.

Here is my water colored card:

I started by stamping the images in Antique Linen DI on Mixed Media CS, then water colored the flowers and added a bit of shimmer with a Sakura Gelly Roll Pen. After spreading a blue wash around the flowers, I stamped the sentiment and added a few sequins.

And, the inside:

Aloha-can you say tropical get-a-way! I felt like I was on vacation while creating this card.

IBS Release Week Day Three - Flamingos

Happy Wednesday!

Welcome to Day Three of Release Week at Inspired by Stamping! Today's stamp set is Flamingos, a fun set of five images and sentiments.

Here is my tropical-feeling card:

I stamped the flamingo and sentiment, then die-cut it with the largest of the Fancy Label Dies 2. With the die-cut still inside the die, I sponged some orange, pink, and yellow ink around the image to coordinate with the patterned paper. A piece of ribbon and some bright sequins finish the card.

Here is the inside:

I so like the sentiments in this set!

Please visit the Inspired by Stamping Blog to see what Joanna and the rest of the DT have created with today's stamp set.

IBS Release Week Day Two - Magnolias

Happy Tuesday!

Welcome to Day Two of Release Week at Inspired by Stamping! Today's stamp set is Magnolias, a seven-piece set that includes two images and five sentiments.

Here is my water colored card:

I started by putting a light wash of blue on a piece of 3 3/4 x 5 Mixed Media CS. The images and sentiment were stamped in Black Hybrid Ink, then colored with Distress Inks. It may be hard to see in the picture, but I fussy-cut and popped-up the two center magnolias for a little dimension. The pretty colored sequins and some layering finished the card.

A look at the inside:

Again, I started with a very light wash of blue, then added the image and sentiment.

Please visit the Inspired by Stamping Blog to see what Joanna and the rest of the DT have created with today's stamp set.

The words say it all-I just added the die-cut ribbon and pearls, and some pink sponging around the edges. I thought rounding the bottom corners coordinated nicely with the awareness ribbon.

IBS CAS Masculine Birthday

Happy Monday!

For my Inspired by Stamping post today, I have a clean and simple masculine birthday card using the Ahoy, Matey! stamp set. Ahoy, Matey! is one of my all-time favorite Inspired by Stamping sets.

So, let’s take a look at my card:

I started by stamping the three corners, then the two centers. After that, it was easy to fill in the two additional knots along the left side. With the help of my Misti, this was a breeze to stamp. Though, of course, you could just as easily create this border using a stamp block.

Here is the inside:

Continuing with my CAS theme, I carried the rope image to the inside along with the birthday sentiment.
