My friend, Lucy, so loved this card that I sent her for her birthday this year, that she asked me to make a similar one that she could send to her sister for her 50th birthday. Lucy requested purple and fuschia, with lots of bling. Lucy told me she gasped when she opened her card and wants the same effect when her sister opens hers.
The card I made for Lucy was 4 1/4 x 5 1/2. Today's card is 5 3/4 x 5 3/4. I think the sentiment (created in Word using RGB values for Melon Mambo) should be on the front, but Lucy wanted it on the inside.
Supplies used: Lucky Limeade, Melon Mambo, Pink Pirouette, and Rich Razzleberry CS, Basic Grey PP & retired SU PP DSP, Pink Pirouette & Rich Razzleberry Taffeta Ribbon, MS Border Punch, Sizzix Daisy Die, Beautiful Wings Embosslit, Flower Garden Embossing Folder, & Swirls Sizzlit, Spellbinders Scalloped Oval Dies, and lots of Rhinestones.
I had to mail the card to Lucy in NY, who in turn will be mailing it to her sister. So, I decorated a box, placed the card inside with pink tissue paper, and sent it in a padded envelope.
Chocolate lovers may recognize this as a Godiva box. Gotta love recycling/repurposing!
I'll be entering this card in the Anything Goes Challenge on the Simon Says Stamp! Challenge Blog.
