Welcome to my Inspired by Stamping Sunday Designer Feature. Today I have a special project that I made for my brother's birthday using Teeny Tiny Greetings and Pretty Planners. My brother is a hobby photographer so I thought it would be fun to make a photography-themed gift.
Let's start with the camera:
I designed the camera box to hold Reese's Peanut Butter Cups. The lens is layered die-cut circles and rosettes. I used silver glitter paper for the flash, vellum for the view finder, buttons on the top for the camera button, and black satin ribbon for the strap.
What could be a better sentiment for the camera than Smile, from Teeny Tiny Greetings?!?!?
To create the camera box, cut a piece of card stock 8 1/2 x 8 3/4, score at 1 1/2 on each end of the 8 1/2 side and at 3 1/2 on each end of the 8 3/4 side.
For the lid, cut a piece of card stock 3 3/4 x 7 1/8 and score at 1 all around.
I also made a 'film roll' container:
I covered an empty plastic container with paper and went to work turning it into a film roll container. I printed small photos of Kevin and added them to the film strip and stamped a sentiment from Pretty Planners.
Another stamped sentiment from Pretty Planners.
One more stamped sentiment from Pretty Planners completes the Don't Forget, Today was, Best Day Ever around the bottom of the container.
The For You sentiment on the top of the cover is from the Flower of the Month: Sweet Pea stamp set.
Now for the birthday card:
I embossed a brick background and sponged it in different shades of brown and red. After printing a picture of Kevin (taking a picture!), I cut it to be a 'polaroid picture' and stamped a sentiment Pretty Planners.
The birthday wishes sentiment is from the Teeny Tiny Greetings stamp set.
I hope you enjoyed my Birthday Camera Trio! I can report that Kevin loved it. The Teeny Tiny Greetings and Pretty Planners stamp sets sure are versatile!
